DEREK ROSS

is the National Director of the Mission True Love Waits Philippines and has served in Manila since 2003.

The ministry has grown in impact and is reaching 40,000 to 50,000 students every year in schools across the nation. Beginning in 2011 Derek and Amanda began praying for God to lead them in choosing a group of people who might lead them through a process that could lead to an eventual US Non Profit Board of Directors.

The first step toward this is a Mission Advisory Board.

Mission Advisory Board

The Mission Advisory Board is a distinguished group of Christian Leaders that provide advice to Derek and Amanda. Located around the world, these individuals’ years of experience and wisdom help give spiritual and practical guidance. This team will be a sounding board for the directions that also require financial investments. The Mission Advisory Board will help and give guidance in prioritizing which efforts the mission will fund. The board will also consider creative ways to share with others the financial needs of the mission, as God’s spirit leads them.

Mike Clements, Discipler and Advisor to Derek & Amanda for 22 years. Present Pastor of First Baptist Church of Floresville, Texas for the past 20 years. Serving as a pastor for over twenty-nine years. Bachelor of Arts from Texas State University, Master of Divinity Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and DMin Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

Daniel SouthernBoard Member

Daniel Southern, former Crusade Director for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. for almost 20 years was responsible for overseeing the largest public meeting ever held by Billy Graham in North America in New York City. Today he is the CEO of the Daniel Southern Leadership Group. For 12 years following his career with Billy Graham, Dan was President of the American Tract Society. In 2006 he partnered with actor Stephen Baldwin to launch a dynamic youth outreach using extreme sports to impact street kids. Dan’s strong belief in the need to reach today’s youth culture with a positive life message has opened many opportunities to impact future leaders.

Dr. Richard S. ParkBoard Member

Richard S. Park (DPhil, Oxford) is assistant professor of theology and ethics at Vanguard University. He is also the founder and president of The Renaissance Group, a nonprofit organization aimed at impacting culture by helping people find their calling. He has several publications, including, Constructing Civility, published by the University of Notre Dame Press. Dr. Park has spoken in countries around the world including Australia, Canada, England, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, and throughout the United States. He is deeply passionate about connecting calling, culture, and character. Dr. Park completed his doctorate in Theology & Religion at the University of Oxford. A southern Californian native, Dr. Park lives with his wife in Los Angeles County, California.

Jimmy HesterBoard Member

Jimmy Hester, is co-founder of True Love Waits and retired Senior Director of Youth Ministry Publishing at LifeWay Christian Resources. In retirement, Jimmy continues to support TLW efforts, is an adjunct professor in youth ministry at MidWestern Baptist Theological Seminary, writes Bible study curriculum, consults with non-profit organizations on publishing projects, serves in various ministry roles at his church, and enjoys being “grandbuddy” to his two grandchildren.

Chie Carroll is an online media strategist, web designer and brand developer. She founded 3mpStudio from her home, together with her husband Tim, to be free from the rat race and home school their 3 kids. They are currently living in Columbus, OH serving at their church Vineyard Columbus.
