Short Term Testimony – Catherine Landgrebe

Hello, my name is Cat Landgrebe.
I’m a wife, daughter, sister, friend, and servant. At age eleven I asked Jesus into my heart to be the Lord of my life. It took several years for me to fully let Him capture my heart, but He did and I’m grateful.

In 2005 I met Derek and Amanda Ross; they shared about TLW Philippines and the wonderful work God was doing there. I wanted to be a part of it. In the summer of 2006, at age 17, I flew all the way to the Philippines not knowing a single person along the way. The Rosses treated me like family and I got to experience the great ministry of TLW Philippines. I served for two weeks and knew I wanted to return. The trip simply was not long enough! The next summer I served for two months! The Lord allowed me to share His love with so many young people. I served at a youth camp, training sessions, and engaged in “gospel conversations” anywhere I could. Now, I’m 33 years old, married to the man of my dreams, and seeking to love people as Jesus does.

My husband, Andy, and I are prayerfully considering a short mission trip to the Philippines soon. I am now a mother to three handsome young men. Today, as a young woman who believed in the True Love Waits message, I will testify that it was worth the wait! God’s design for love and relationships is perfect. The challenges of waiting during friendship, courtship and engagement made our wedding night a glorious celebration of the love that God has given us for each other.

TLW COMMITMENT
In light of who God is, what Christ has done for me, and who I am in Him, from this day forward I commit myself to Him in the lifelong pursuit of purity. By His grace, I will continually present myself to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

TLW OBJECTIVE
EVANGELISM: Clearly present the gospel.
DISCIPLESHIP: With indigenous church planters in cities among unreached people.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Formal and informal training.

Reconciliation and Regeneration are what matter most. There are poor people in the Philippines but the disastrous condition is not overpopulation or economic poverty. The tragedy is spiritual poverty which leads to social poverty.

The assault on the family by the world we live in and problems associated with HIV/AIDS, Abortion, Pre-marital Sex, Suicide, Teen Pregnancy, Homosexuality, Trafficking, Masturbation and Pornography and are all rooted in lust which is sin. The long list of social injustices and problems in this world are only symptoms of the larger problem of sin in sinful men. The solution IS NOT True Love Waits, Counseling or Shelters for the hurting or abandoned; the remedy is Jesus Christ.

Each year the TLWPH Team works with a variety of churches, youth centers and other organizations with one goal which is to launch a Love Revolution lifting Christ above all things. Join us in 2023!

2023 LOVE REVOLUTION MISSION TRIP – 20 Spots Available

$2500 approximate cost per person (based on travel LAX/MNL)

2023 Love Revolution Mission Trip on a 10-day trip to Manila Philippines! Working with Missionaries Derek and Amanda Ross, this mission team will work in the world’s most densely populated city. Greater Metro Manila is home to more than 24 million people.

This trip will allow team members to see the wide range of opportunities for TLWPH to minister in many settings.

Team Engagement:

  • Work alongside TLWPH Team to equip church leaders with discipleship tools to reach students.
  • Travel outside of Manila to participate in a large campus ministry student event.
  • Training church youth and leaders in remote locations.
  • Assist the TLWPH Team in equipping churches to minister to trafficked victims.

Trip Status: Open Spots Available. This trip is open to short-term members from a variety of locations including Texas, Oklahoma, Maryland, California, and Georgia. For this reason, the estimated cost per person is based on airfare and expenses from Los Angeles. The estimated airfare from points beyond LAX is not included and will vary depending on your location.

This trip will be fully focused on communicating the gospel.  More trip details will come as your trip gets closer.
